Helping the Environment

What are the current major issues for the protection of the environment?

Pollution, global warming, overpopulation, natural resource consumption, waste disposal, climate change, loss of biodiversity, deforestation, ocean acidification, ozone layer usage, acid rain, water pollution and public health issues

What changes have occurred in the priorities for Ecology and Environmental Science Over the last 30 years? Why have they changed?

The Ecology and Environmental Science research at UQUQ hope to understand the impacts of humans, the environment and climate on marine and terrestrial ecosystems and to discover the best way to apply this knowledge to managing things. Their research is understanding ecological interactions, environmental modelling, marine science, landscape ecology, biodiversity conservation, insect pest management and biological control environmental monitoring and evaluation, environmental policy evaluation, environmental toxicology and landscape restoration.

China has had more economic changes in the last roughly 30-36 years that the West. They have experienced some problems such as releasing a lot of pollutants, not using their energy and resources efficiently and the harm it has caused their ecosystems has spread from their land into other offshore areas.

Since this is what has happened to China and other parts of the world had also changed over the last 30-36 years it is safe to assume that, in a smaller scale, this may have occurred in other parts of the world.
